Merry Keller brings a professional choral background
and extensive performing experience to her singing and teaching career. With a double major in voice and piano, Merry received
a B.S. Music degree from West Chester University, School of Music in Pennsylvania. She continued with graduate studies in
vocal performance, working with Stella Conway, professor of voice at West Chester. Merry Keller continues her vocal
studies with Chris Armistead at Washington University in St. Louis, and collaborates with pianist, Neal Richardson.
Merry Keller has been active in St. Louis' cabaret scene, presenting a holiday show at Gaslight Theater in December
2008 and most recently, premiering her original show, Love in Four Seasons, at the Sheldon Concert Hall in October,
2009. A Love in Four Seasons CD has been released that includes twelve numbers from the show. Her local performing
experience also includes Random Access, a St. Louis a cappella group, the St. Louis Chamber Chorus, and the St. Louis Women's
Chorale. She has been soloist with those groups, along with many other local choirs and choruses. Merry Keller is a member
of St. Louis' premier music performance club, The Ladies Friday Musical Club, since 2002. Merry Keller has sung
in local coffee houses, recitals, entertained at parties and receptions, and has performed benefit concerts at the Sheldon
Concert Hall and Immanuel Congregational Church. In the summers of 2007 & 2009, Merry Keller had the priviledge of working
with Amanda McBroom, Lina Koutrakos, Alex Rybeck, and Rick Jensen and Jason Graae at the St. Louis Cabaret Conference. She
also participated in a Cabaret seminar led by Cabaret performer, Lennie Watts, while he was in St. Louis to perform at Savor
during the 2007 holiday season.
As director and teacher, Merry Keller founded and directed the West End Community
Chorus in St. Louis, served as Director of Music at Centenary United Methodist Church, Parkway UCC, and Immanuel Congregation
UCC, helped produce musicals at Dignity House and several local community theater productions. She has taught privately and
in the public school systems of Pennsylvania and Missouri. Merry Keller has served as Artistic Director of CHARIS, St. Louis
Women's Chorus from 1999 - 2004, and was full-time Artistic Director of Gateway Men's Chorus from 2001 - 2007. Currently
Merry Keller is the Artistic Director of the St. Louis County Community Chorus and is Minister of Music for St. Paul United
Church of Christ in Columbia, Illinois.
